Welcome – who are we?

ict_comptab6_095.jpg We are the “primary” team at the Specialist Schools and Academies Trust.

This blog is aimed at people who have an interest in personalising learning in the primary school. It originates from a series of workshops initiated by the primary schools team at the Specialist Schools and Academies Trust. We hope to engage many practitioners in discussion about the issues surrounding personalising learning. The original workshops were led by Ann Aston, Dave Broadfield and Steve Hall.

David Hargreaves has identified nine “gateways” into personalising learning. These have been grouped into four “deeps” as follows;

DeepLearning - Assessment for learning, Learning to learn & Student voice.

Deep Experience – Curriculum & New technologies.

Deep Support – Advice & Guidance, Mentoring & support.

Deep Leadership – Workforce reform & School design & organisation.

Please select a page from the right hand column and add your comments. The gateways have been written in a way that pupils can join in the discussion.
